1933 MG J2 Midget
This delightful MG J2 was manufactured in 1933 and supplied via Sanderson & Holmes of Derby to its first owner Mr. H Hodgkinson of 106 London Road Derby on the 3rd of June 1933 registered as RC 1342.
The MG factory records confirm the details of this MG J2 as chassis #J3363, engine number 2224AJ, which was originally White with red upholstery.
By 1936 Mr. Everaked in Dorking Surrey owned the MG, it then passed to Captain John Swan of Warfield Berkshire until 1958 (as per buff logbook) then onto the modern style V5 with the new owner Mr. H Peters until 1989.
The current owner purchased the MG in December 1993 as a gift to his son. The MG although very complete required a full restoration, so a ground up restoration took place between 1994-2000. The late Peter Green assisted with the restoration who was a very highly respected member of the MMM club.
The restoration was to the highest standard with no expense spared to achieve a wonderfulrestoration which included upholstery and weather equipment by Alan Geater.
Since the restoration, the MG has completed only running in miles and has been kept as part of a family collection ever since.
This MG J2 is in beautiful condition and ready for the next owner to enjoy.
